Hydrating Facial Masks

  • Ingredients: cold cream, yogurt, honey, aloe vera gel and avocado.
  1. Mix the ingredients together in a bowl (the smoother, the better)
  2. Apply to your entire face
  3. Let the mask dry on your skin for about 15-20 minutes for maximum hydration
  4. Rinse.

  • Ingredients: ¼ cup of blueberries, 1 tbsp raw honey (organic if you have it), 1 tbsp olive oil
  1. Blend all the ingredients together
  2. Apply evenly on your face (being sure to avoid the eye area)
  3. Leave the mask on for approximately 10 minutes
  4. Rinse with warm water and wipe excess of with a damp cloth

Facial Masks for Dry Skin

Oatmeal Facial Mask

  • Ingredients: one serving of dry oatmeal (plain instant oatmeal is fine), hot water
  1. Cook one serving of oatmeal
  2. Allow it to cool down
  3. Apply on your face and leave it on for 10-15 minutes
  4. Rinse it off with cool water
  5. Wipe off any excess oatmeal with a warm towel

Benefits: This recipe is super simple and quick.  Oatmeal contains antioxidant and anti-inflammatory benefits.  It is excellent at treating irritated, dry and itchy skin.  This mask will calm and soothe your dry skin, especially in the harsh winter weather.

Avocado Mask for Dry Skin

  • Ingredients: 1 tablespoon mashed avocado, 1 tablespoon mashed banana, 1 teaspoon olive oil, 1 tablespoon orange juice.
  1. Mash the avocado and banana together, adding in the olive oil and orange juice together
  2. Mix until they form a smooth paste
  3. Apply the mask carefully, avoiding the eye area and leave on for 15 minutes
  4. Rinse skin with warm water and a washcloth, removing all traces of the mask

Benefits: Considered one of the healthiest foods on the planet, avocados are not only enjoyed for its wonderful, creamy taste but also for its healing properties.  Avocados are full of good fats that supply our body with the oil it needs to stay lubricated.  The good oil from the avocados will seep into your pores, moisturizing and nourishing your skin, eliminating any dry skin.


Facial Mask for Radiant Complexion

  • Ingredients: 1 banana, preferably a ripe one, 2 tablespoons honey, 1 orange or 1 lemon
  1. Mash up the banana
  2. Mix in the honey
  3. Add a few drops of orange or lemon juice
  4. Apply all over for at least 15 minutes before rinsing off with warm washcloth
  5. Be sure to remove all traces of mask, using more warm water if necessary
